We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. ### How far in advance can I make lodging reservations? We take reservations up to 12 months in advance of arrival. ### Is there an extra cost for children or extra room occupants? All rates are stated in US dollars and are based on double occupancy in a standard double room, unless otherwise stated. Children under 17 years of age stay for free with at least one paid adult. ### What taxes and fees are there? Our current tax rate is 7.25% sales tax, a 6% bed tax, and a 3% beautification fee. ### What is the Beautification Fee used for? In partnership with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, U.S. Hotel and Resort Management, Inc. will assess a three percent beautification fee on all purchases at the lodge. The monies collected are designated to be used for the continual improvement of the overall lodge and cabin accommodations , and recreation amenities only. ### What reservation policies are there? - The rates listed are our maximum rates throughout the year. Rates are frequently reduced based on availability and date of arrival. - Rates listed are per night and are subject to applicable sales and bed tax. Rates and taxes are subject to change. - Rates are listed in US dollars. - Individual reservations will be accepted up to 18 months in advance from the first day of the month. - A minimum length of stay may be required for weekends, holidays, or special events. ### Are there ADA Compliant rooms at Mohican? Mohican Lodge offers five accessible lodge rooms (one with roll-in shower). Please call Mohican Lodge at [419-938-5411](tel:4199385411) for additional details. ### Are there additional charges? - Room rates are based on double occupancy. - Children under 17 years of age stay free in the same room with parents or guardians. - Each additional adult in a room is $12.00 plus taxes, per person, per night. - Rollaway beds are available for an additional charge of $15.00 plus taxes, per night - Pack and Plays are available at no additional charge. ### Is a deposit required? All reservations require an advance deposit payable by money order, or major credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, JCB and Diners Club. The credit card is charged the deposit amount at the time of booking. ### Can I have a pet in my room? Pets are not permitted in lodge rooms. All assistance dogs for visually or hearing impaired or orthopedically challenged individuals are permitted in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1991. ### What is your smoking policy? Please note that our lodges, in accordance with state law, provide a smoke-free environment for all guests. We ask that this non-smoking policy be observed inside all guestrooms and public areas, including restaurants. Smoking is only permitted 30 feet away from any building. Smoking is prohibited on all room and cabin decks, patios, balconies, and porches. ### What is the minimum age for reserving a room? The minimum age for reserving and/or checking in to any of our accommodations is 21 years old. A valid government-issued identification is required. ### How do I modify or cancel a reservation? Room reservations may be modified or canceled up to 3 days (72 hours) prior to your arrival; after that date, the deposit is non-refundable. The elevation is 1,197 feet above sea level. ### Are your rooms Pet Friendly? We do not allow pets in our guest rooms. However, our partners at [HartFelt Boarding Kennels](https://www.hartfeltkennels.com/) offer excellent care for your furry friends. Let them know that you are staying at Mohican Lodge and receive 15% discount. ### Do you offer wireless internet access? We do offer high-speed wireless Internet. ### Is there cell phone service? Cell phone service is available for most providers; however, we can’t guarantee the signal strength. It is possible that you may have little to no service depending on provider. ### Is there a business center? Besides offering 4,952 square feet of meeting space, we also provide high-speed Internet and e-mail services along with package shipping, copy and facsimile services. ### What is your liquor policy? Under Ohio law, alcoholic beverages are prohibited from being brought into the park and from being consumed in public areas, including inside the lodge. The lodge restaurant, lounge and gift shop offer alcoholic beverage services for those of legal age. These beverages must be purchased and consumed within the boundaries of the lodge liquor license, which include inside the lodge and our patio. The lodge liquor license only covers alcohol purchased through the lodge; alcohol purchased outside the lodge is prohibited. The State of Ohio legal age for possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages is 21 years of age or older. ### What kind of weather can I expect? Winter days are chilly, with temperatures ranging from 15 to 30 °F. Evenings are much colder, staying in the single digits and teens, but rarely ever dropping below 0°F. Winter snow and ice storms are common. The early spring months are similar to winter, with the same likelihood of storms. Late spring temperatures rise to the 70s during the day and evening temperatures drop to approximately 30 to 45 °F. The summer months bring long, hot days averaging 85°F, which is ideal weather to experience the many activities at Mohican Lodge. Enjoy a summer evening stroll through the park, with night temperatures in the 60s. Fall brings a burst of brilliant color and the early months are comfortably crisp with the daytime temperatures ranging from 60–70 °F and evenings in the 50s. ### Is Mohican State Park and Mohican Lodge open year-round? Yes, Mohican Lodge & Conference Center is open every day of the year. ### Is there a fee to enter the park?
